Spring Rose Nails

It's end of March, but still a bit cold here in Taiwan, really longing for summer to come......
Today I decided to do a simple Spring rose nails using Etude House Etoinette Versailles Nails set. I've reviewed about the nail set here.
So, this is what I came out;

I used 2 coats on every nails and for the flower I used Bourjois Gel Silicone texture nail polish in number 6, and the white I use nature republic number WH002 in white.

For the ring finger I use QA38 stamp plate. It's supposed to be Audrey Hepburn but I smeared out a bit when I applied top coat, so it's now look like a vampire has some blood drooling from her mouth.... (damn!!!)

This is a simple picture of how I draw my flowers, I just used a dotting tools
First, make 3 dots with pink polish, then dot white polish on top of it (center), then with smaller dotting tools (the pointy one-if you don't have it you can use needle or toothpick), very lightly make a circle motion from in to out ( I mean from the center of the white polish), then just add some green nail polish as leaves. On my nails I use Konad nail art pen &brush for the leaves. That's it. Very simple!!

The plate that I use. QA38. Sorry for the picture, it's kind a weird, but this is the best that I can do to capture the images on the plate. Anyway, I bought it from Yahoo Taiwan. The price is quite cheap, it's 50 NT or around 15,000-16,000 IDR so cheap for this cute plate. They also have Gangnam Style plate, Snow White. If you interested you can search more on Qiao An stamping plate, they have several cute plates. From what I know, you can find this product on taobao.com (and they sell it cheaper than 50 NT).

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!
XOXO

Skin Food Nail Vita Alpha Base Coat Review

Today, I'm gonna discuss about this new baby from Skin Food. Nail Vita Alpha Base Coat.
This polish is function as base coat, use it before you use your nail polish. The special thing about this is, you can say goodbye to your nail remover, since you only have to peel your polish to remove it. Sounds great to me!!! hahaha.
On the bottle, it said Nail Vita Alpha contains Calcium, Vita C and Keratin. This advanced nail polish keeps color shiny and stays for long.

So, Let's try it!!
The brush is the same with the other Skin Food Nail Vita's polish range.

The Formula is thicker and sticky, almost like a glue, but the great thing is, it doesn't have scent.

I apply one coat, and it took "forever" to dry!!!!

After waiting for the base to dry I put the regular nail polishes. 2 Coats on every nails, no top coats.

Oopss, I think I'm a bit rushing it, it haven't completely dry when I started peeling it

I peeled it off!!

And this are my nails looks like at night. Noted I applied at afternoon then I was busy with the house routine (cooking, washing dishes, etc) and picture below took at night, after I took a shower.

The nail polish still look decent. I was thinking since the base gonna make my nail polish peel, the nails polish won't last longer on my nails, but I was wrong!! It's still looks OK.

So, at night I tried other nail to peel ^.^
So, when it's completely dry, I can peel the whole nail polish, as if I was using a fake nails ^.^

This are my nails after the peeling. As you can see, there is a bit residue on index nails, but it will be gone after washing our hands. The most important thing is It didn't hurt my nails at all. Yay!!

What I love about this product:
1. It didn't hurt my nails (it really do the job- protect our nails)
2. It doesn't have scent
3. It really make the nails polish "stick" on my nails
4. I enjoying peeling the nail polish hahah

The only thing I hate is It took forever to dry. It took more than 5 minutes to naturally dry ( I didn't use nail dryer, I just let it dry naturally).

What do you think? would you try this kind of base coat?
Thank you for reading My blogs ^.^

China Glaze Texture Nail Polish Review

Texture nail polishes seems in trend lately, China Glaze came out with China Glaze Texture for their texture nail polishes. There are 6 colors in this range, but I only chose 2 from the range.

 *The bottom of the bottle

This are the swatches of Unrefined;

 This pink... I love this kind of pink, creamy and bright, from the texture it does feel gritty on my nails, the formula just right, not too thick, not too runny and it dries very fast. I took 2 coats of unrefined in every photos.

Then, I try to put on some top coat just to know how it look like;
On my index finger is 1 coat of seche vite and on my middle is 2 coats of seche vite top coat (Just in case if you don't like the gritty feeling of the texture nails, we just can smooth it all with top coat, but I feel it's gonna lost the essential of it. I mean it's texture nails!)

 *Toe-tally Textured

Toe-tally Textured's formula in my bottle somehow, is thicker than the unrefined, and a bit hard to work with, but the opacity of the colors is great, I put 2 coats in each nails.

What I love about this products:
1. I love the color range, the bright colors that screams out HELLO SUMMER!!
2. It dry fast

What do you think? Do you also like the Texture nails? or just pass?
